Who we are
Not career politicians
The Republican was built by parents, workers, small business owners and community volunteers who believe everyday Victorians deserve a government that listens, delivers results and puts communities first.
We are not career politicians. We come from the communities we represent and understand the challenges facing Victorian families because we experience them ourselves.
For years, our members have contributed through volunteering, local organisations, small businesses and community advocacy. We believe good government starts with listening, practical leadership and accountability to the people it serves.
Our mission
To put people before politics
We are committed to building safer communities, easing cost-of-living pressures, improving healthcare and education, supporting small businesses, delivering infrastructure where it is needed most.
We believe every Victorian deserves the opportunity to live safely, work with confidence, raise a family, and build a better future. Together, we can build stronger communities and a stronger Victoria.
Our goal is to restore trust in government through practical leadership, transparency and policies that deliver real outcomes for local communities.
Why we exist
Government is not keeping pace
Victoria is one of the best places in the world to live, but many Victorians feel that government is no longer keeping pace with the needs of growing communities.
Families are facing rising living costs. Young people are finding it harder to buy their first home. Roads, schools, hospitals and public transport are struggling to keep up with population growth. Small businesses are under increasing pressure, and many communities want safer neighbourhoods and better access to healthcare and mental health support.
Too often, politics has become focused on parties instead of people.
The Republican was created to offer a practical, community-first alternative. We believe government should listen, spend public money responsibly and deliver results that improve everyday lives.
We exist because everyday Victorians deserve a stronger voice and a government that puts people first.
Our priorities are simple
- 01Helping families with the cost of living
- 02Building safer communities
- 03Delivering infrastructure where growth is happening
- 04Supporting small business
- 05Improving healthcare and mental health
- 06Strengthening education and opportunities
- 07Restoring accountability in government
We believe strong communities build a stronger Victoria.
